Creative Learning

At Nottage we believe in the continual investment in our staff. We actively encourage all staff to attend relevant training, meetings, conferences etc. in addition to learning from our industry partners and experts. As part of our journey into the Curriculum for Wales we actively encourage staff to embrace the school as a learning organisation, and to utilise enquiries based on good practice.

We are extremely fortunate to have two computer suites, an expressive arts room, a fantastic stage for performing and a soon to be completed fully resourced kitchen to embrace our pupils creative and inquisitive minds.

As part of our Arts Council of Wales, creative schools grant, we utilised industry expert Architects CAUKIN - www.caukinstudio.com - who worked with our Year 3 pupils to design and create our outdoor creative learning space. The project was such a success that the Welsh Education Minister Mr Jeremy Miles, visited the school on Thursday 21st October 2021 to discuss this project and our exciting vision for the new curriculum.

Our Creative Extra-Curricular Activities on offer are:

  • Karaoke
  • Glee Club
  • Choir
  • Code Club

We also have a very active and inclusive SCHOOL COUNCIL with elected members from each year group and a very passionate ENVIRONMENTAL & ECO COMMITTEE.
